BFF Tuesday – Cindy Callaghan
June 21st, 2011 at 6:49 AM
Welcome another M!X author to Tuesday! This week it’s a triple-shot BFF as Cindy Callaghan, author of the adorable Just Add Magic, talks about ALL her best friends.
BFF’s first name:
I have been BFFs with Julie, Chris, and Pam since fourth grade when I moved to their school. The three of them have been friends since first grade.
How long friends:
I’m not going to reveal my age, but let’s just say that it’s a very long time.
How did you meet?
Colonial Road Elementary School in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. I was in Mrs. Ross’ class – my all time favorite teacher.
What’s the best thing about your best friend?
At this stage of the game, they’re more like sisters. We know pretty much everything about each other. We accept everything.
Best memory together?
Going to the Jersey Shore after our Senior Prom….good times.
What makes a good best friend?
They’re low maintenance friends. By that I mean that we accept how busy we all are. We can go weeks without talking. But, if someone needs us, we drop it all and we’re there. We’ve traveled long distances to visit each other, because seeing your best friend is important.
Did you and your BFF ever get into a major fight? If so, can you tell us about it, and how you resolved it?
I can’t think of something I would call a “major fight.” Sure, there was high school drama, but nothing really big.
What else?
I think we all understand how unusual and special our bond is. It’s very interesting to watch my kids making friends. I wonder, “Is that the one that will be in her wedding? Godmother to her children?” There are a few that I can already spot that I suspect will be in the picture for a very long time.
Thank you so much, Cindy! I hope you know how lucky you are to have three best friends.
